Selwo Marina is the dolphinarium and exotic animal park of Benalmádena Costa, 2.1 km from Benal Beach Apartments, about 31 minutes on foot, right beside Puerto Marina.
What it is A compact park built around show pools and themed zones: dolphin and sea lion presentations, a penguin house, tropical birds and reptiles, and a small Caribbean-style area. It is far smaller than a full zoo, which is the point most families see everything in three or four hours without anyone melting down.
Getting there from the apartment Walk the promenade towards Puerto Marina and continue past the marina entrance; the park is signposted from the roundabout. Buses along the coast road stop nearby, and there is parking if you drive.
Good to know - Check the show times when you arrive and plan the visit around them they are the main event. - Most of the site is open-air, so bring hats and water in summer. - Tickets are cheaper online than at the gate, and combined tickets with other parks exist.
Best time to go Morning, before the heat and before the day-trip coaches arrive. Shoulder season is noticeably quieter than August.
