Aqualand Torremolinos is the largest water park on this part of the Costa del Sol, 5 km from Benal Beach Apartments a seven minute drive, or a straightforward bus ride.
What it is A full-size water park with slides ranging from gentle family runs to steep drops, a wave pool, lazy river and a separate shallow area for small children. Sun loungers, food outlets and lockers are on site. It is a full-day plan rather than an afternoon one, and it only operates during the summer season.
Getting there from the apartment Seven minutes by car along the coast road, or take the bus from the stop 200 m from the door towards Torremolinos. There is a large car park at the entrance.
Good to know - Summer season only closed from autumn to late spring, so check dates before promising the kids. - Tickets are cheaper online, and afternoon tickets are cheaper than full-day ones. - Bring your own towels; the complex pools at Benal Beach are free if you would rather stay local.
Best time to go A weekday in June or early September. Weekends in July and August mean long queues at the big slides.
